Immediately seeking an Ultra Precision Machinist in the Keene, NH area. This is a full time second shift position offering up to $30.50/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Create complex optical surfaces (aspheres, diffraction gratings, free forms, etc.) by utilizing multi-axis diamond turning machines and associated metrology
- Operate and set-up diamond turning machining centers and fly cutters
- Operate and understand Optical test equipment such as interferometers and surface profilometers, computer generated holograms and LuphoScans
- Develop and document process parameters
- Operate traditional inspection equipment such as toolmaker’s microscope, micrometers, height gages, and Vernier calipers
- Read, analyze and interpret complex documents; analytical troubleshooting / problem solving Communicate effectively to team members and management Leading and mentoring
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent Two-year technical degree preferable
- 5+ years diamond turning
- Experience writing and editing part programs including compensation programs
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents
Hours: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:00am
