Seeking a Power Equipment Technician in the Keene, NH area. This is a full time first shift position offering $18/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in the diagnosing and repair of a wide variety of outdoor power equipment
- Customer service skills, a friendly demeanor for talking to customers
- Technician is responsible for the overall success of the Stihl and outdoor power equipment department
- Technician is the key point-of-contact in the store to establish and promote relationships with customers, as well as being the go-to person in the store for all questions regarding power equipment
- This is a position that will require continual technical training and growth
- Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed on power equipment
- Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components and machines
- Performs all service tasks
- Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) to be entered into our computer system
- Report any additional work required on equipment to customers, for proper and safe operation
- Participates in all training programs
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Brings to the attention of the Store Manager any shop tools or equipment that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe
Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out simple one or two-step instructions
- Experience working in a team atmosphere
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Must take and pass pre-employment assessments
- Work in outdoor / indoor conditions, and ability to load and unload lumber and other building materials with or without reasonable accommodations
Hours: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends
