Immediately seeking a Packager, 2nd Shift in the Brattleboro, VT area. This is a full time first shift position offering up to $17.83/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Work on assigned line to assist with the packaging of products by way of machine and/or hand packing
- Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated areas
- Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations
- Set-up oncoming shift for successful run
- Perform any duties necessary to support the team
- Obtain information necessary to perform duties at pre-shift tailgate meetings and by meeting with off-going employees
- Vigilantly monitor equipment operation for indications of impending problems and possible operational improvements
- Train to operate pallet jack
- Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner
Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Must have the ability to write simple correspondence and complete manufacturing documentation completely
- Ability to effectively present information to other employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense
- Understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Hours: Monday-Friday plus every third Saturday 2:00pm-10:30pm
