In need of a Batchoff Operator in the Brattleboro, VT area. This is a full time first shift position starting at $18.00/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in operation of all Primary department functions
- Process and package mixed stock from Banbury, extruder, and batchoff units as dictated by specification
- Operate material handling equipment
- Clean mill pan and surrounding floor of particles and place back into batch
- Guide stock from mill onto conveyor, through dip tank to cooling racks and final packaging
- Maintain work pace that is compatible with Banbury output in order to achieve smooth uninterrupted work flow
- Maintain specified dip mix and level. Operate cooling racks and Batchoff equipment to festoon mixed stock into boxes, pallets, and other packaging equipment as dictated by specification
- Cut stock from batchoff / cooling racks into batches of specified weight
- Remove boxes and pallets to storage
- Obtain empty boxes, pallets, and other packaging equipment as dictated by specification
- Erect cartons
- Replenish polyfilm supply
- Move material from drop mill area to extruder, storage, or other area using tables, spadones, or other equipment
- Clean operating equipment and surrounding areas to specification
- Create and apply labels and other identification as required by specification
- Secondary responsibility is to weigh up small volume chemicals on scale to specified weights, as described in formulas received from Quality Control, and to set aside in assigned storage area
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to complete assigned duties on time with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm
