Actively seeking a CDL Driver, Part Time in the Keene, NH area. This is a full time first shift position offering up to $30.00/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Operate an 18-wheel truck and trailer to safely and efficiently transport a variety of products
- Responsible for the proper loading and securing of each commodity to prevent movement and allow for safe transportation of materials
- Responsible for ongoing and effective communication with Marth’s personnel, customers, and others regarding permits, routes, fuel stops, giving and receiving information and instructions
- Responsible for daily completion of all required paperwork such as freight bills, load sheets, log books, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and any other records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensure that all shipping documentation (e.g., manifest, security seal sheet, bills of lading, shipping orders, or freight bills, etc.) required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered
- Responsible for performing pre-trip, inter-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reports, adjustments, preventative maintenance, tire chain-ups, brake adjustments, and minor on-road repairs as needed
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment being used (interior and exterior)
- Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas
- Responsible for performing all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and complying with all federal, state, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
- Attend and participate in safety meetings
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must possess a valid Commercial Class A Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years previous tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English at a level that would allow the communication and comprehension of job-related information, instructions, regulations, signs, maps, MSDS guidelines, required paperwork, memos, etc
- Must have knowledge of DOT regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance
- Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation and have a valid DOT Medical Card
