In immediate need of a Designer in the Brattleboro, VT area. This is a full time first shift postition offering $20-$25/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Identification of repeats and translation to roller sizes with attention to client’s budget
- Assist with pre-engrave activity using separations and design layouts
- Communicate and document project status at every point of activity
- Manage file storage back-ups
- Working in group environment to reach departmental goals
- Collaborate with Design on cylinder base inventory for recycling
- Collaborate with cylinder storage room on current cylinder base inventory
- General administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
- Experience in surface design, digital file preparation, high pressure laminate or wallcover designs
- Experience with the use of Photoshop or similar programs
- Understanding of color creation, multicolor print concepts
- Print testing processes and strike off development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to grip, lift, and carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to use hand tools: wrench, wiper, utility knife
- Work standing on feet two to three hours between breaks
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
