Immediately seeking a Bookkeeper in the Keene, NH area. This is a part time first shift position offering flexible work hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Records weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Maintains accurate attendance tracking for accrued, taken and remaining balances of vacation, personal and sick time
  • Maintains accurate record of financial transactions
  • Updates and maintains the general ledger
  • Reconciles entries into the accounting system
  • Performs account reconciliation to assure the accuracy of transactions
  • Responds to requests and queries from the President
  • Works with accountant for preparation and filing of year-end tax returns and ongoing overview of financial inquiries
  • Maintains financial records according to records retention regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the President

Requirements:

  • Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of best practices
  • Strong math skills
  • Data entry skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organization skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
  • Minimum of 2 years in basic bookkeeping and daily/monthly accounting tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Word
  • Experience with PeachTree/Sage Accounting Software
  • Working knowledge of office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and copiers
